Oh lord, yes I remind myself of my oldest son, Andrew, when he was toddling along walking. He would get so fast, and couldn't walk or run a straight line to save his life, lol. Mom started putting a football helmet on him, because he had banged his head on so many things, lol.
Now, here I am, and if I get in the least bit of a hurry, I am off kilter, and will generally run into the door facing with my arm or hip. One part of me says it's be bigger now, and I have'nt allowed tor more room for more body. another part of me says, slow down, or they are going to give you thaat helmet, lol
It can be scary and a bit confusing at times. Just remember, when moving from a lying to sitting or from sitting to standing, you always want to allow yoursef a few minutes to adjust to your new position before moving. (For instance, if you were sitting on the couch, you would stand up......wait a little bit -let the sand setttle- is what I call it, lol,.) then, after a little bit, start out slowly.
We have to learn to move at our own speed, and let everybody else do what they need to do. I also find that when I'm standing or walking, it's best if I focus on that, instead of multi tasking on other stuff in my brain.....as my daddy used to say, I can't chew bubble gum and walk down the street at the same time, .lol
You are not the only one! I'm known to bump into things. I forget it and then when the bruise comes up, I can't remember what happened, or how I got it. If I get up too fast I can lose my balance and on occasion, fall. I bump into walls. I'm, in general, clumsy!
I'm constantly taking out my shoulders on door casings because I cut the corner too quick
I know, right?!! furniture likes to jump out at me too. I have so many bruises on my legs, I look like I've been playing out in the yard, lol
