SSDI trying to push through legislation NOW that will ban 500,000 seniors and disabled from qualifying and receiving benefits.

Old age and poverty in America is about to get a whole lot worse if this is pushed through.

This is very disheartening information. Another instance where this country turns it's back on it's own citizens while giving hand-outs to non citizens for housing, food, medical care, medication, education & financial assistance. America cant even take care of it's homeless or it's veterans and now the sick and elderly will fall to the wayside as well. Sad. Disgusting.

SSDI is what i live on too. i pray that doesnt go through as many are in dire need in this country that HAVE put in many years of work and paid into the retirement system and many HAVE served their country in the military. I am not saying we cannot be humanitarians to others in need however this country should care for it's own FIRST - before giving free hand outs to non American citizens. That is where the problem lies. We are not taking care of our own first. I stand by my words.

When I was growing up I was told it was a sin to let people go hungry and homeless and not to do something to protect them. But I also think we can welcome immigrants from torturers and famine. Here in Iowa meatpacking plants, agricultural workers ... are encouraged to come. They help both rural and urban areas. We need a balance yes, but it needn't be one or the other, but the fiscal is a real issue for sure! And I'm not educated enough on that point to even offer solutions. I can only express my wish on a humanitarian level.
