In a flare, do any of you feel weak after speaking? Like you're gonna pass out kind of weak. I know it's weird, but it happens to me.

Members connected over the surprising and isolating experience of feeling weak, breathless, or faint after speaking during a fibromyalgia flare, with many expressing relief at discovering they were not alone in this symptom. Several members shared related struggles, including severe brain fog that mimics dementia, panic attacks triggered by the body's stress response, and complete exhaustion from phone calls or conversations that require sustained focus. A recurring theme was the validation and comfort of knowing others navigate the same confusing symptoms, alongside practical coping strategies like resting immediately after exertion and asking loved ones for help with daily tasks.

Yes I've felt like that for years and could never understand why until I found out it can be another symptom of fibro. So faint out of breath nauseous feeling like I'm going to pass out after talking

I get exhausted in every way..just have to rest.( Do you have a sister named Bekah..).when you feel like you are die ing..that sounds like panic attack..( with panic attack you feel like you are dieing)) you can feel paralyzed....unable to speak..walk..depleted .. heart attack..like ..trembling shaking tremoring lack of ability to speak etc... its different for some ..many run to the emergency room( rightly so..as it is very scary) ..and it can be a panic attack..and cortisol is ramped up when you are stressed and that totally depletes a person when you are in a constant state of fight or flight...that is what the abundance of cortisol does..it gets you ready to fight or flight when stressed after that happens too much you are left depleted...

I have trouble remembering how to work my phone and tablet at times. I have to stop thinking a minute than I remember. I have been known to ask the same question 3 or 4 times in 5 minutes.
