You might have atrial fibrillation. Mine started off and on about 30 years ago. I was always tired and drank too much caffeine in different forms and pushed myself too much while eating the wrong kinds of foods so I kind of brought it on myself. There are some great breathing exercises where you breathe in slowly while pushing your stomach outwards. Put the palm of one hand on your heart and the other palm on your abdomen so you can feel the stomach going out while you breathe in. Do this slowly for at least 5 minutes amd longer. There are probably some videos on it. I learned the technique from a naturopath years ago and it does calm the heart down. Of course you may want to see a cardiologist to get it checked out but please try the breathing techniques. I am sure there are videos on it. If you cannot find one, let me know and I will look!
I get a wave of depression after I eat, Doc said it's because all the blood goes to my stomach to digest the food. Beats me!
Hi I've done some research and found there's something called Roehms syndrome. U can Google it. It seems to fit-at least for me. There's a cardio-gastric connection for some people and there are certain foods to avoid. U may want to read about it see if u can relate. Blessings β£ L
Ugh this is me. I get a pounding and racing heart about 30 mins after a meal. It comes on suddenly and can last up to an hour before it disappears. Happens after about 90% of my meals. Had a EKG and a 48 hr holter and all normal. Im only 23 and this symtom is terrifying and has been going on for the last few months as have other fibro symptoms from a flare
Sorry to hear about the loss of your sister, the grieving process is very different for everyone...I've also had increased heart rate and headache following a meal. I thought it was related to food allergies, so I started anti-inflammatory diet. It worked but it took several weeks. Good luck
