Members shared mixed experiences with Lyrica for fibromyalgia pain, with some finding it life-changing after years of use and others reporting no relief or troubling side effects like weight gain, fatigue, and concerns about memory loss. Several members noted that Lyrica is often considered to have fewer side effects than gabapentin, though individual responses varied widely, with some doing better on gabapentin and others finding Lyrica more helpful when carefully titrated. A recurring theme was the deeply personal nature of medication response and the importance of giving new treatments a cautious try while staying alert to how your own body reacts.

It made me sick and did not work the gabapentin is much better for me but everyone is different so it maybe ok for y lyrica. I take the gabapentin three x day 800 mg pills.

Yes, I tried it. It worked well for pain but too many side effects for me. It may help so give it a try. You know meds affect us all differently..

Wow, I could not take gabapentin either. The fact that you lost the ability to walk while on it shows that you are sensitive. You may be a person like me who honesty does not do well on most drugs. I have a hearing problem already and on a very low dose, I started to feel like my head was in an echo chamber. I also noticed that I could not control anger episodes (I started throwing things!) so I got off of gabapentin by the third week. My mother had Alzheimer's so I am afraid of lyrica as I read it causes memory loss and I have never taken it. I feel like I am playing Russian roulette when I try a prescription and I have tried a few.

I have tried it 3x at different dosages. It has done squat for me. I know it has helped a lot of people with fibro, I am just not one of them.
