My doctor just added it today but im scared cause gabapentin made me lose the ability to walk or function with my hands
Yes, I tried it. It worked well for pain but too many side effects for me. It may help so give it a try. You know meds affect us all differently..
It made me sick and did not work the gabapentin is much better for me but everyone is different so it maybe ok for y lyrica. I take the gabapentin three x day 800 mg pills.
Medications work differently on everyone. I took lyrica when they first diagnosed me. Oct. 2015 my pain management dr. Put me on cymbalta and Jan. 2016 Rheumatologist put me on lyrica. It seemed like they could not find the right dose. They had to keep adjusting the medications. They didn't seem to help. By sept. 2016 I got off of all my medications cause I left my job and lost my medical insurance. By Jan. 2017 my thyroid was so off balance that I just so out of it . I found a clinic and they put me on my thyroid med. I was waiting for my new insurance to kick in which was the Obama care. March 2017 I found my dr. And I still have him and I refuse to see anyone else. Hes the best. Anyway I've been on gabapentin now for 2 years. He has me on a good cocktail of medications. I take 400 mg at bedtime and When I have a real bad day I take I take 1 in the morning as well. It does seem to help especially with my balance. I've gained 25 pounds and I still hurt. But I've except that this is my new life. But for me lyrica did not help me. But what helps one doesn't always help another. Best of luck. Hugs and Prayers
Yeah i dont take a lot of medicine, just birth control but now i have 4...
Wow, I could not take gabapentin either. The fact that you lost the ability to walk while on it shows that you are sensitive. You may be a person like me who honesty does not do well on most drugs. I have a hearing problem already and on a very low dose, I started to feel like my head was in an echo chamber. I also noticed that I could not control anger episodes (I started throwing things!) so I got off of gabapentin by the third week. My mother had Alzheimer's so I am afraid of lyrica as I read it causes memory loss and I have never taken it. I feel like I am playing Russian roulette when I try a prescription and I have tried a few.
