mine are more like twitches and they can be in any muscle anywhere in my body,, they are not painful,, you might try a bananna a day or some gatoraide to add some potassium to see if that helps,, also you might consult a neurologist like i did,, he said it was not ALS but benign fasticulation syndrome,, get it checked out for peace of mind

take gabapentin - you'll get on top of muscle spasms. another good idea is to assess yourself online for neck bones alignment if you can.

I havent found anything that helps. I just ride them out until they subside. Yes stretching makes them worse. I breathe through them and try to relax.
