Finally diagnosed with MDD Mayor Depression Disorder, Severe Anxiety, OCD and Chronic Pain Syndrome but another doctor mention that it feels more like Fibro. (Confused by that) And for a long time every time I scratch some body parts like my chest, Shoulders, Back and Inner leg, it hurt like a bruise. the pain could last up to 30 secs. Any idea, please? Lots of love and blesses.

Members resonated with the question about skin that hurts like a bruise when scratched, with many sharing that they experience the same sensitivity in areas like the legs, chest, and inner thighs, often lasting far longer than expected. Several members noted that their doctors connected this symptom to fibromyalgia, describing tender spots, pain that moves around, and nerves that feel overly sensitive. A recurring theme was that fibro can heighten nerve sensitivity throughout the body, and some members mentioned finding relief through physical therapy, Duloxetine, Gabapentin, or supplements like PEA.

yes, all nerve sensations are naturally hightenend at the skin for your protection against damage, e.g. burns etc. Fibro makes all your nerves "jangle " i.e. much more sensitive than normal. try Cymbalta/ Gababpentin ot nerve suppliment like P.E.A. ( Pamintoylethanolamide) it is the compound on the nerve which helps it deal with pain .
good luck let's know what happens

That happens to me on my legs and a few other places. It lasts way longer than normal too. I recently started PT with a pelvic physical therapist for an unrelated issue and she works out knots in the weirdest places- like the inner thigh. It has been better since then and I’ve had that bruise feeling for years.

I was diagnosed with chronic pain syndrome, but my family doctor also thinks its fibro. I suffer from many different painful effects from it, as well as what you speak of. I'm tender to the touch (some spots on my body worse than others). The pain seems to move to different areas day by day. Sometimes my muscles feel like they've been pulled or injured in some way. The pain lasts anywhere between a few hours to a few days.
