How To Release Muscle Tension.
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question đź’

I swear my muscles just don't know how to relax unless I conciously do it with meditiation. I jump if the phone rings or a car horn honks. I know my body is always in "flight or fight" mode. Any tips on a therapy or other ideas on how I might get my muscles to stay relaxed?

Physical therapy, swimming, Aquatic PT, liquid vitamins so they absorb better, (buried treasure brand is what I use). I also have benefited a lot from counseling and prayer ministry. If you’re spiritual I also have a lot of tips in my book. It’s called “Keeper of Your Life: Actively Trusting Jesus through Chronic Pain.” It’s on Amazon.

I know everyone is different. But those are the things that have worked for me. Hope that helps!

Yoga breathing and stretches for me--just be careful if you're at work--it can relax you so much you get sleepy LOL

I really understand about the tight muscles, that is how I am. If I get really stressed, it takes a few days to recover. I try to do some stretches, which does help, but it seems more difficult to get my mind to calm down.

My main go to is essential oils and doing some yoga stretches to crack my muscles. If it gets really bad I take aprescribed anxiety drug to calm me.
