I am a registered nurse and promote and give the flu shot. All the science and research Ive seen promotes the benefits of it.
But I dont take it and also tell people I dont want it. I cannot explain it but whenever I have taken it, I was miserable and unwell for about 6 months. For the whole winter and spring I was between “coming down with something” and “flu like symptoms”. And when I dont get it Ive never gotten a flu.

So my personal choice is not take it. If I had to, I would (immunocompromised loved one I wanted to be around for example). And maybe if I get the flu I’ll change my mind. But right now, its a no for me.
