Members connected over the frustration of feeling trapped or strangled by seatbelts, particularly when the strap sits uncomfortably on the neck. Several members shared practical solutions they've tried, including adjusting the seatbelt height (though some noted it didn't help), using soft seatbelt covers for comfort, and purchasing special clips that attach to the lap belt and allow the shoulder strap to be repositioned away from the neck. A recurring theme was the physical discomfort and anxiety around anything near the neck, with members eager to learn about tools that could make seatbelts more tolerable.

Yes! I found at special 'clip' that goes on the lap band that allows you to slip in the shoulder strap to adjust where it crosses your body. I can now get it off my neck! Simple item that solved my problem.

So I put a pin in it, and it can’t go all the way in. Just enough to give me a little breathing room.
