Members rallied around someone seeking anti-inflammatory alternatives after being unable to take NSAIDs due to heart concerns, offering a wide range of suggestions from both conventional and natural remedies. Several members recommended natural options like turmeric or curcumin supplements, cinnamon bark, peppermint or flaxseed oil, magnesium baths, and CBD capsules, while others suggested medications such as Tylenol or antidepressants that helped with pain and sleep. A recurring theme was the critical importance of consulting with a doctor before trying any new remedy, natural or otherwise, especially given existing health conditions like heart problems, bile duct issues, and medication interactions.

Hi all please see your doctor about your natural remedies and tablets before taking them as they affect your usual medication.

You van try to use Curamed or curcamin. These are anti inflamatori natural capsules. You can find them on the internet.
I hope you can take these but they are a little expensive and It takes a while before they help you. You can also Google for inflamatori food dieet.

have you tried taking omeprazole (Prilosec) or something in that family? I know you have different names for things in the UK. Ask your doctor for a proton pump inhibitor, Prilosec, Nexium, zantac, Pepcid you can buy them without a prescription here. My husband has IBS-D and he takes the Prilosec and immodium (loperamide) for the diarrhea. He says it helps immensely. also pay attention to your diet. Caffiene, diary, red meat and chocolate aggravate IBS. No spicy foods either. He drinks a protein shake once a day to keep his protein up
