I used to take Cymbalta for pain and depression, but it wasn't working for me, so my doctor prescribed Venlafaxine instead. I've been taking Venlafaxine 75mg daily for a few months now, but I don't think it is working, either. Is this just for depression or anxiety? I have flare-ups quite often, so I don't see the point of taking this medicine. Does anyone take Venlafaxine with something else to reduce the pain level?

That's exactly how much I take and low dose antidepressants help you sleep at night. I take it at night and finally get the sleep I needed to ease the pain. I still have flares and and take Ibuprofen as well when I'm in them.
