I use CBD oil on really bad days, and it works wonders to calm the pain.

Everyone reacts differently to medications. If you notice unusual or alarming psychiatric symptoms, call a doctor immediately! Like most ailments, finding the right "cocktail" and plans of action takes trial and error. Unfortunately, our bodies and minds must be subjected to the trial and error to get to the right treatments.

I totally agree with you. Gabapentin did nothing for me. However, Pregabalin (Lyrica) caused horrendous side effects but others on here swear by it.
You have to listen to your body and if you are not happy ask your GP to try something else.

We all have plenty to be dealing with without horrendous side effects.

I am taking gabapentin and about 8 other meds. It hasn't made me crazy suicidal, but when I started to taper off under doctor supervision, I did get really uncomfortable. The higher doses didn't work but my dr found one that did. As said before, everyone's different. I'm sorry for those who have had adverse reactions and I hope you have found something better.

I think it really depends on a person's personal body chemistry what it does and why you take it. I take it for type 2 diabetes, not for fibro, or pcos(polycystic ovary syndrom).
