You try and look after yourself, that’s what you do. You learn to not worry about anything that isn’t absolutely vital. Feeding the pets and children, is vital, having an tidy house is not. Accept all the help you can get from family and friends, and if you can afford to, hire someone to help with the things you can’t do at the moment. You will survive, this community is full of survivors, dig deep for the reserves you need to pull through.
If you haven’t already, I would check out on app called ‘head space’ it helps me when I am feeling dispair. Big hug for you x
Hi Helen
Victoria is right in what she is saying.
Let them see you at your worse.
They have a duty of
care especially with you haveing fybromayalgia it's class as disability.
You can also have a member of staff with you for support.
HR should be aware of your condition so they can put in place a risk assessment.
Taylor disability working adjustment.

Eg involves
reducing work hours.
Aids put into place.
Regularly breaks.
Aurthorise leave of absent for hospital appointment and Gp.
This is put in place so it doesn't effect your time keeping.
A back to work review regarding your health to change what not working toward the adjustment.
Also go on line and bring up disability working right and act.
Also if your unwell and you feel unwell and uncomfortable.
You can ask them to rearrange a home visit I done that myself when I was not hundred 💯.
If you decide to arrange at home have a family member supporting you ur friend.
Try not to stress yourself

Employment
It’s against the law for employers to discriminate against you because of a disability. The Equality Act 2010 protects you and covers areas including:
application forms
interview arrangements
aptitude or proficiency tests
job offers
terms of employment, including pay
promotion, transfer and training opportunities
dismissal or redundancy
discipline and grievances
Reasonable adjustments in the workplace
An employer has to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ to avoid you being put at a disadvantage compared to non-disabled people in the workplace. For example, adjusting your working hours or providing you with a special piece of equipment to help you do the job.
Hope you feel better soon 🤗 and able to sort your situation out ❤️💐
Helen, if you possibly can, perhaps with a lift from a family member or friend, get to that meeting and let them see you at your worst? Even with no energy they should be able to get it. It is humiliating and takes a great deal of courage but, if it is possible for you, it may be the most effective path to understanding? BIG hugs. X
i just went through that ,, i got really angry instead of depressed and got pro active ,, i started low THC high CBD tincture ,, physical therapy,, walking and got in our local YMCA's pool ,, i feel so much better now ,, honestly all i wanted to do was crawl in a hole but i stood up to it ,, felt like slaying a dragon but feel im on the backside now ,, at least for a while
I have other conditions as well as fibromyalgia like many of us have but I wasn’t coping with the years of pain in my body so I saw my psychotherapist she is a pain specialist & helped me see what a lot of ladies have already said & the main one is don’t do the things like oh my house must be tidy etc... do only what you can when you can & then only limit yourself to a small amount of time at that task before a rest such as 5 minutes then rest until u feel bodily that u can do more not I’ll power through this then not be able to get out of bed tomorrow, she is a very wise woman I have learned, also I have trouble meditating I can’t clear my mind as it’s so full always of things that shud be done or things that are making me want to cry so I had 2 positive answers from her about that subject the first being, It is OK to cry don’t feel you have to be sorry about that or worry about it as it is your body’s release that is needed. I will say I am on anti depressants but even then the Fibro made me cry so she helped me see that I needed that release & to celebrate even the tiniest positives in my life (for me a big one was actually getting in the car & getting to see her, but if I couldn’t she would spend the hour on the phone with me instead), also as I could go on forever, I didn’t understand mindfulness which everyone goes on about for us Fibro sufferers, I now sit down with my iPad & either do a quiz or have a colouring session for 5 minutes & all I am thinking about is the game nothing else & that helps, but when I am so bad I can’t even play on those I listen to music that’s my stress relief as well, we all have something that for even a moment takes us somewhere else in our heads or just lifts the feelings of dread & upset, I was told to just go with it I would know what makes me feel better even for a moment so use that as part of my Fibro tool box of tricks to help me & always find someone to talk to even in a Fibro group even if I got no replies just writing it down helps & it does help so that’s my take on things, sorry if it’s to long but I always talk a lot in person or on paper lol x
