A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi
I saw my neurologist a few weeks ago and based on the symptoms I've described (burning in hands while driving/typing, hands falling asleep at night, etc) he is pretty sure I have carpal tunnel. I haven't had an EMG yet but I've been wearing a brace at night to see if that helps.

Get the emg/ncv test. Its the only thing that can rule out carpel tunnel. I have this along with a multitude of other symptoms and all 5 of my EMGs from feb 2018 to nov 2018 have been normal. Sorry, Molly, my shaking hands interrupted. I used to drop clean laundry into the dirt on the ground with carpal tunnel. Driving, feeding the baby, anything really. The surgery is not that bad. Good luck!
