Members connected over the shared frustration of nighttime hand and finger numbness, with many describing additional symptoms like swelling, weakness, dropping things, and morning finger stiffness that clicks or springs back. Several members found relief through practical strategies including wearing carpal tunnel wrist braces with metal inserts while sleeping, using Aspercream for pain, and holding items with both hands for extra security. A recurring theme was the confusing overlap between fibromyalgia and carpal tunnel symptoms, with some members having surgery or testing that didn't resolve the issue, leaving them managing unpredictable flares tied to diet, stress, and the body's own rhythms.

Yes.
Every night. Carpal tunnel in both hands all five fingers.
I am not sure why. Could be related to an auto immnune issue that is related to Fibro.
Wrist guards help. They are annoying, but so is the numbness.
Get the ones with two velco straps and a metal brace inside so you wont bend the wrist.
I had some neurological tests done and mine in my right arm is coming from my elbow as well as the wrist so they suggest an elbow brace.
Not open to that just yet.

Sadiebear the numbness and pain in my hand comes and goes seemingly randomly. Most frequently at night, but can happen any time. I drop things and "loose" my hands at any time without warning. I hold my coffee with both hands ;)

My hands hands and arms spasm and they can go numb at any given day. They do swell more at night a lot of times. I have found that a lot depends on what I eat during the day and my stress level. Some times I can have a stress free day and just chillin' and I'll get numb, spasm (someone stated shaky) hands and arms. It just depends on when my body wants to work along with me.

What other symptoms do people have? My left hand is shaky/ weak a lot of the time, and tends to be the one that goes numb the most too.

Mine do! Horrible. I was tested for carpal tunnel and nothing, despite all the symptoms.
