So, I am in the midst of probably the worst flare I’ve had....soreness, fatigue, stiffness etc. I have taken some time off work and I have an appointment at the GP on Wednesday.
I am currently on no medication. I realise that I cannot go on just putting up with this pain. I wonder if you guys have had any success with different medications? Therapies? What should I enquire about?
Thank you xxx

I am trying a new pain therapy at the Allevio clinic in Toronto
It’s a combination of lidocaine and ketamine infusion. It’s given once every two months. The dose is adjusted until it is appropriate for your physiology and relief.
I heard very good things about it and my doctor was enthusiastic about the process. I’ve only had one infusion but OMG! I had four days free of pain. There are side effects it is a big step, but if I can get to the point where it lasts around six or seven weeks, I have a chance at a normal life.
I don’t know if anybody else has tried this ???
Chatting with the others in the room receiving the treatment, several of them indicated they were at the point of being able to go off of their other meds like Lyrica and Cymbalta. Very exciting if this works and I can reduce my overall drug level!
I have just started reiki. I am currently taking Vyvanse, which is a stimulant, for the fatigue. I just have to watch that I do not overdo or I pay for it. I have to Pace myself. My friend mentioned Lyrica for fibro nerve pain and said she could not function without it. I am afraid to take it and recently asked my doc about medical marijuana or CBD oil as I have heard it works wonder for fibromyalgia symptoms.
I would research food and beverage fibromyalgia triggers.
Good luck. Try to stay positive!
I use 15mg mirtazapine for sleep. It's amazing 😴
Thanks for all the replies, guys. Appreciated reading what works and doesn’t work for people! I shall see what they say on Wednesday! Fingers crossed it’s productive! Xxx
I take 1 meloxicam during the day and 1 gabapentin at night before bed. I've had alot of pain all day plus very tired. I worked earlier today. 4am to 1 PM. Some days are better than others. I feel like I've been ran over. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis both.
