I know this is not really a fibro question, but thought l would put this out there.
Has anyone had tear duct blockage that required surgery? I've had bicanicular tubes in my left tear duct for a couple years that are migrating inward now and causing more pain.
The next step is maybe a DCR surgery, but more likely a Jones tube. I've heard the Jones Tube doesn't have a high success rate and can be problematic.

I have issues with my eyes watering at the moment. The doctor put me on some eye drops for it but haven't heard of this procedure before. Then I'm in Australia and you guys in the US seem to get these ops before we generally do. Hope it works out for you.
@A MyFibroTeam Member I am so sorry you are going through this! I've prayed for you (and Bevi, Kitty and Deidri) I have one tear duct that is solid now. I asked the eye doctor who told me to just put a warm wet washcloth to it, bless his heart, and the same came from my former doctor who ditched me. The thing has been hard for at least a year. I'm not going to worry about it unless it hurts.
God bless you and you ladies. I agree with Kitty. Ask the doctor if it can be removed and I don't know what else can be put in, research it i guess. What would happen if it was just removed and you didn't have a tear duct? There's a eye doctor for the glands in the eye that produce moisture for the eye but I missed that appointment cuz of the surgery.

I was put on steroid drops due to low tear production, and saline eye drops. My Eye Doctor told me that surgery for that is not good and could cause very bad issues with my eye. So I would talk to my eye dr about removing the tube permanently
My tear ducts run Badley in winds , runs down my cheeks as if im sobbing. Even a fan on near me can cause my eyes to pour n I have 2 fans on in my bedroom at night lol xx
I have eye crusties in the morning. It is SO dry here that I notice how it affects my head/sinuses - i get those headaches. I had to get extra tears from the eye doctor. And I missed that appt with the doctor who looks at the glands in your eye. I'll have to reschedule that when my body can move again, without all this pain.
I haven't notices extra tearing in that eye though.
