Members connected over shared frustrations with eye symptoms, including blurry vision, dryness, puffiness, light sensitivity, and excessive tearing, with many wondering whether these issues stem from fibromyalgia, aging, or medications. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them manage symptoms, such as using saline drops, lubricating eye drops before bed, allergy drops, and reading glasses, while one member cautioned that certain medications can also contribute to blurred vision. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of losing clear vision that once felt reliable, with members expressing frustration over difficulty driving at night, trouble focusing, and the disorienting experience of eyes that test as 20/20 but do not feel that way.

My eyes ger blurry alot too. My eye exam shows i have 20/20 vision but it does not feel like it. I am 51 so i do wear reading glasses to see clearly on the computer. When i take them off, my eyes are really blurry for about an hour. I also use eye drops for allergies or to get the red out and soothe them. It seems like every morning they are really red and tired feeling. I guess it is part of getting older or maybe fibro is making it worse. Either way. I do not like it. .

I get puffy swollen eyes tho I don't suffer with hayfever. Water drops (saline) helps. Also I use a tube of eye drops before sleep. Vision becomes blurred when I get tired.

Yes but i found out after a lifetime of perfect vision i have a deteriation in vision in one eye. I also get itchy and puffy eyes at times, the main issue is my eyes are focusing differently and its a nightmare.

@A MyFibroTeam Member. You may be right about meds causing blurred vision but it is soo much worse when i wear my readers for an hour and then take them off. I now know how people feel that have to wear glasses. I have been blessed to have good vision all of my life.
