What alternative treatments have any of you tried and dis they help? I am getting the cold shoulder by physicians in my area regarding meds because I am reacting so poorly to everything except benzos. I need some better options. I keep threatening to drive to Colorado and find a marijuana expert. (I'm actually half serious on that one. Lol)

CBD? It’s worth a shot:)
I will use my experience with patients - since I have not had great benefit.
CBD seems more appropriate as pain is eased per many patients. Cream works for topical pain pretty well.
I found THC had no pain benefit, maybe even heighten it sometimes. I already cannot think so for me I do not want to be any more zoned out. I take immunosuppression so even when I do try either my results (efficact/onset of action) cary wildly - same with most meds when they interact with my immuno.
Living in WA tried a lot so I would recommend the same. You just do not know what will work for your genetics, etc. It will be luck of the draw as strains will not be "prefected" for years but worth a shot. As example, I can take 300 mg of liquid THC when most are whacked at 10mg. And it may or may not kick in for me. Trial and titrate up as you go.
Would you recommend cbd oil or just straight up marijuana?
Tough finding new treatments. Good luck with cannibis - does not work for me. Worth trying anything, that works for your body. Having a transplant I cannot take narcotics but really the only thing that ever helped - the short time I was on them.
Good luck.
Marijuana has helped me the most. Didn't get any relief from pain meds. Light massage also helps. Chiropractor helps me a lot too.
