Does anyone notice swelling in hands right before a flare. My hands get so swollen i can barely bend my fingers, then a day or 2 later i get a flare. The only thing i can compare it to, is my friend when she eats salt, swells up. But i don't have that issue with salt and it only comes right before a flare

Members widely confirmed experiencing hand swelling as a warning sign before fibromyalgia flares, with many also reporting accompanying symptoms like swollen feet, migraines, burning sensations, twitching, locking joints, and difficulty with basic tasks such as picking up coins or fastening buttons. Several members shared strategies that provide some relief, including anti-inflammatory medications, special creams, massage with lotions and oils, and soaking hands in hot water, though many noted that pain management remains challenging. A recurring theme was recognizing personal flare triggers like stress, weather changes, and menstrual cycles, as well as learning to identify early warning signs such as cold hands or swelling to mentally prepare for upcoming difficult days.

I don't get swelling, just agonizing pain. Feels like carpal tunnel/tendonitis slam-banging with arthritis, and bloody cuticles.

I'm curious if anyone else has weird cuticle stuff, if it's part of the fibro or if it's something completely different my body is tossing in to toy with me.
