Has anyone used D-Ribose? If so how much did you take? Did it help? Thanks!

Members shared mixed experiences with D-Ribose for fibromyalgia, with most reporting little to no benefit and some experiencing jitteriness or anxiety. Several members found better results with alternative supplements, particularly magnesium malate combined with malic acid for improved energy levels and reduced muscle soreness, while others preferred brain octane oil. A recurring theme was the trial-and-error nature of finding what works, with members generous in sharing specific dosages and alternative options that helped them manage fatigue and pain more effectively.

Same here, didn’t notice any difference. I took 5 ml in the morning. Magnesium Malate made a bigger difference in my energy levels and muscle soreness/flares.

I also recently started taking an additional 1200 mg of Malic Acid with my Magnesium Malate, and have seen even better clarity and energy.

Yes, it’s called Central Sensitization Syndrome . We had lectures about it at the Mayo pain clinic . All senses are heightened with a chronic illness . When noises are very loud , they cause what is called “hyper stimulation “ where you feel like an electric shock has gone through you . I went to ER with this .

Took it. Didn't help. In fact, it made me feel jittery and anxious.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, interesting read, my c-reactive protein level is slightly elevated even though other inflammatory markers are fine. I'll try some added magnesium.
