Members confirmed that feeling worse after eating is a common experience, with many describing symptoms like fatigue, anxiety, stomach pain, and difficulty digesting food that can last for hours or even disrupt sleep. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped, including eating lighter meals like soup, toast, or applesauce in the evening, avoiding sugar and dairy, cutting food into small pieces, taking digestive medications, and limiting water intake during meals. A recurring theme was the trial-and-error nature of finding what works, with many noting that certain foods trigger worse symptoms and that managing fibromyalgia often means making dietary sacrifices even when cravings strike.

Have you heard of “Leaky Gut”? Most of us have autoimmune problems, most of them stemming from an unhealthy digestive system caused by a Leaky Gut.

This has happened to me a lot actually sometimes I just have to lay down for a long time or it will keep me up all night ...that’s why I like to just eat soup maybe toast at night apple sauce is good too maybe a granola bar that’s organic all natural without a lot of sugar ...of course I cheat sometimes but I pay for it ...it’s not worth it

After eating I get pain at the base of my stomach as if the food does not want to go down properly. I drink a lot of water while eating and cut my food into small pieces. I also take meds to help. Nothing works the right way with fibromyalgia. Sending hugs.
