Members connected over the question of dairy causing mucus and worsening fatigue, with many confirming they experience similar symptoms and have switched to almond milk as their preferred dairy alternative. Several members shared that specific foods trigger their fatigue, including sugar, fried foods, carbs, and sweets, with many recommending keeping a food diary to identify personal triggers and noting that small amounts of hard cheese or goat cheese may be better tolerated. A recurring theme was the struggle of giving up beloved dairy products like cheese and ice cream while seeking relief from uncomfortable symptoms like mucus buildup, bloating, and exhaustion after eating.

I only get sleepy after I eat if I have fried foods or carbs. Dairy doesn't seem to bother me.

I switched to almond milk. Personally, I like Blue Diamond Almond Breeze better than the Silk almond product.

I stopped drinking milk a long time ago and use Almond Milk instead. Do eat some ice cream and cottage cheese and they don't seem to bother me in small amounts.

Dairy gives me diarrhea. Bread (gluten) gives me heart burn and increased muscle pain.

Milk/dairy products produce mucus as a general rule. I use almond milk for just about everything.
