Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - Do You Get Sore Throats/swollen Glands? Or Fatigue Only?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia back in 2007, however my fatigue gets worse every year to the point that it is now my most debilitating symptom, so I always wonder if I also have CFS, but I don't get the symptoms of sore throats or swollen glands. Please tell me your symptoms and if you were diagnosed with or without the sore throat/swollen glands issues. Thank you! God bless. 😊πŸ˜ͺπŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€

Hi. Our symptoms are so confusing and are so different. It's almost like our bodies are constantly adapting to whatever is being done to pacify our current symptoms. Like they taunt us by saying, no, you are not going figure me out. I'm going to mask your symptoms so you can't feel better. I have not been diagnosed with CFS but I have throat problems and swollen glands often. Even my IBS symptoms are constantly changing. I hope you get great answers that help you feel better. Take care.

@A MyFibroTeam Member hi, that's great that you have found something that helps you. It sounds very beneficial, I just looked it up. I was about to order some, but then read this cautionary information. Unfortunately since having fibro I now also have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, vbut I will ask my doctor about it.
Thanks for sharing.
Cautionary info:
"People with autoimmune diseases should also avoid ashwagandha unless authorized by a doctor. This includes people with conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, Hashimoto's thyroiditis and type 1 diabetes.
Additionally, those on medication for thyroid disease should be careful when taking ashwagandha, as it may potentially increase thyroid hormone levels in some people.
It may also decrease blood sugar and blood pressure levels, so medication dosages may need to be adjusted if you take it. '

@A MyFibroTeam Member Seems like I get sore throats a lot when the weather is cold. Last year and this year they have lingered and I was quite sick with them. I never even thought of that as being part of Fibro. I was diagnosed with Fibro, with nothing to do with my throat. However these doctors around here, know so little about Fibro. I never got to go to a a specialist. The ones I considered going to 50 miles away, no long take Fibro patients. I wish we had doctors that specialize in Fibro only. Hey Susan, I haven't got to be on here much lately as my husband has so many appointments. I haven't forgotten you, though! Big hugs & prayers!!!

@A MyFibroTeam Member Thank you for commenting! 😚 My fatigue got so much worse just since the fall season began.. it was bad enough already, but got horrible.😩 Sometimes I have days I feel like maybe I'm dying from something, but eventually go back to my "normal" daily bad fatigue, ugh!
I'm sorry you get sick often, that's the last thing you need!πŸ™ I don't get sore throats often, or swollen lymph nodes, but the fatigue has been a constant for years! I never wake up refreshed either, more like exhausted or groggy. Well, I just take it a day at a time & get done each day (evening really) what I am able to.
I'm a far cry from who I used to be, and I'll keep trying new things to help me & keep exercising. I count my blessings to put it all in perspective, and I have my friends here to help understand & support me, as I hope I do for them.
God bless us all with hope & strength to get through each day. Hugs!! Love to all, Susan πŸ˜™πŸ’–πŸ˜‡πŸ™πŸŒΉ

Hi there!
I was just reading everyone's comments here and thought I'd throw something out here. After fighting chronic fatigue for years...I found a doctor that said my adrenal gland could not keep up so she put me on a good dose of Ashwaghanda. It changed my life I told her. It is a miracle supplement that I will never go without again. Hope this helps!
Sending out hugs to everyone!
