Hi just wondering if anyone else suffers from throat pain. So hard to describe but mine has been continually painful for nearly 3 years, some days worse than others but always there and only on the left side. I've had ultrasound ,CT and visited and ENT but nothing been detected.
It is driving me crazy....

Members connected over the frustrating experience of chronic throat pain and swollen lymph nodes that often go unexplained despite extensive testing, with many sharing that their symptoms appear on one side, come and go unpredictably, or worsen with fatigue and sleep deprivation. Several members suggested possible connections to conditions like Epstein Barr virus, chronic fatigue syndrome, burning mouth syndrome, LPR, and dysphagia, with some finding relief through medications like Clonazepam or discovering serious complications like aspiration pneumonia that required medical intervention. A recurring theme was the importance of advocating for further testing when symptoms persist, listening to your body's signals, and recognizing that these mysterious throat issues may be part of a larger chronic illness picture rather than isolated problems.

If I lose lots of sleep from insomnia the left side of my throat is very sore, ear ache on left side too.

I have had a sore throat, lump in throat feeling and swollen glands for 5 months now. I have had blood testing, ultrasound, CT, and MRI and nothing shows up. One thing that is common with is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which is extremely similar to Fibro. I’ve been told I have both. Since my whole journey started with fatigue and eventually led up to full body issues.

I do. I even had a swollen lymph node about 6-7 years ago that i had a biopsy of and it had abnormal cells so they had to remove it to send it off for more testing but it came back normal it was just so random and i get sore throats randomly all the time i can even see sores down my espophogus from i dont even know what. Ill feel fine (as if not sick from a cold or anything) but it will hurt to swallow. I dont know, maybe it could be part of fibro?
