Itchy Painful Skin
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Sometimes I rub cream on them and then it starts to burn and gets red and makes me want to rub so hard my skin feels raw. So I wash off the cream and my hands feel worse

Yes! The tops of my hands and the tops of my feet itch terribly. I even itch them while I’m sleeping creating scratches and bleeding. Ivy Rest is a topical cream similar to caladryl lotion except this has lidocaine in it to numb the itch. Try it!

I feel like someone sandblasted the top layer of skin off my body, can't get dressed some days. Can't wear anything that isn't really baggy, no pants for sure. Can't bare to be touched.

dry skin, skin hurts and feels raw, certain clothing irritates, just try to keep from getting dry and wear loose fitting clothing

One other thing you could explore is if the itching is linked to circulation problems. That seems to be the case for me. Physical therapy has helped me the most. Seems like a crazy cause and effect, I know.

Also, for burning, a little baking soda paste goes a long way (you’ve prob tried that too). Sorry you’re itching so much! :/

Thanks for all your replies. Sorry to say but I have tried all your suggestions and I guess I was hoping for a miracle solution from someone. πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜† carry on!
