Lately I’ve been dealing with my usual sore, stiff fingers, which I believe is worse in the winter. However, I notice my fingers tend to be swollen, also. Sometimes they appear more red than usual. Not like the joints are swollen, but just all over swelling. It’s not severe, but it’s bothersome. Does anyone else get this? If so, what do you to to help it?
@A MyFibroTeam Member, I have realized that if you avoid as much SODIUM as you can.. it takes a few days but it does subside.. I have a hard time giving up my sodas (because water, teas, and juices all give me heartburn). I know that sodium is a form of salt.. but if you can keep it to a minimum.. I honestly think it will help you with your swelling issues.
I too get swollen fingers, hands, feet and ankles, makes for wearing rings tricky, had to get a ring CUT OFF this past summer! Ugh!!!
Hi kimberley. It definitely a YES from me! I hate it. My whole hand gets stiff as well
I also have joint pain and stiffness which can sometimes affect my guitar playing or even just typing or using my phone. It does annoy me when I can't use or move my hands properly.
I get this also. It’s a fibro symptom. It doesn’t last long though, maybe a day or two and then it subsides. For the pain I take Advil.
