Im so tired of the semi numbness/weak feeling in my left hand/elbow. My orthopedic doctor confirmed compression in left ulnar nerve compared to the right but all EMGs show NORMAL. Which is great but it still doesn't take away the fact that my hand (left) and elbow down always feels "off" for a lack of a better word. Almost like it just doesn't really belong to me anymore...as in, I don't have full control over it. It's very mild but still an annoyance when I am trying to type or do anything… read more

Members deeply understood the frustration of living with persistent numbness and tingling in their arms, hands, and legs that doctors struggle to explain, with many describing similar sensations of limbs feeling disconnected, weak, or not fully under their control. Several members shared that their numbness affects specific areas like the left leg, right arm, or fingers, often worsening during flares, and that standard treatments like chiropractic care, biofreeze, or heat provide little relief, though some found splints helpful for hand pain. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of unexplained symptoms that come and go unpredictably, the lack of clear answers from medical professionals, and the shared encouragement to stay strong and keep moving forward despite the isolating and exhausting nature of fibromyalgia.

When I had my lung cancer they cut through the nerves of course to get to the lung & that right side down from the breast to below my belly is numb. They have no idea if it will heal or not! So have you had any nerves cut anywhere around your arm?

It’s like restless leg syndrome except over my entire body.

YES! My right arm down to my fingertips. My pinky finger will flare up the most. I know my flare up is bad when it spreads up and over to my left side and legs.

I know exactly how you feel. My flares up after quite alot of my body but for 8 days there i have been in that amount of agony on the top left side of my body i have been extremely emotional and couod hardly leave the house. It starts on my fingers, they fo purple, swell the rhe pain slowly creeps up my arm. When i touch my elbow joint it throbbs that much it feels like ive just popped a bpne out of place. The numbness continues right up to my shoulder right round to my shoulder blade then the pain travels all the way round my breast bone to the point i feel like a horse has booted me. Medication isnt even touching it. Yesterday and today was a very mild 2 days so hopefully it will continue 2moro xxx
