So i was told by a rheumatologist last month that i more than likely have fibro. She ordered blood work and I'm trying to understand the results. Everything is fine except I'm apparently low in vitamin D and the c-reactive and sed rate have doubled since August. I've read a few different articles about vitamin d some day it's a cause of fibro and others say its a result of fibro. Does anyone have any experience with having fibro and being low on vit. D? I too have vitamin d deficiency, I was given a prescription for it , For some reason my body doesnโt absorb it
My specialist prescribed me vitamin D tablets, currently just take one a month. I notice it helps hugely with the fatigue, i usually feel like i have way more energy and just feel better in general for 2 weeks. I'm hoping to get my dr to prescribe a dose every fortnight, seeing him tomorrow.
Most people with Fibro are low in Vitamin D and magnesium.
High C Reactive Protein test is from Inflammation of any kind in the body or on the body, Mine was extremely high when I had a severe kidney stone attack, also inflammation with RA ect, it can be coming from anywhere
I also tested low vit D while taking it over the counter supplements & was told not absorbing.. was given liquid D (under tongue) & saw #'s improve..
