I bought my girlfriend (who has fibro) a pair of the Adidas Boost shoes, and it has helped her a lot when she needs to be walking around or on her feet. The Adidas Boost is a newer foam technology that helps a lot with impact and is very comfortable. I have some in my basketball shoes and i swear it feels like im walking on pillows. Nike also recently released a similar technology called Nike React. I'm sure you can find a pair at your local shoe retail store like finish line, footlocker, etc. and try them both out. They are both a bit pricey, but you might be able to find a better deal on the Adidas Boost lines as they've been out longer than Nike Reacts

Your feet will thank you the minute you see a podiatrist @A MyFibroTeam Member. It sounds like you may also have sinus tarsi syndrome and may benefit from the wedge boot thing that you wear at night. That combined with a specific set of stretches that includes calf raises among others will provide significant relief for your Achilles heels, calves and feet. If arthritis is already present in your feet it is not much you can do for relief of the bone pain other than cortisone shots. Either way, I encourage you to see a podiatrist.
My recommendation is a brand of shoe called Comfortview and even though my feet
aren't fat, I order a XX Wide, (Dr recommended) I can make it through a good part of
the day with this change. They have styles for all !
I sometimes change shoes 3-4 times a day. I have a great deal of pain from fibromyalgia in my feet. I wear orthodics in all my shoes to give a tailored feel to the bottom of my feet but sometimes the swelling can change a half size or more. Dr says not edema but the heat from the nerves can make the feet larger. Where it gets complicated is when it only affects one foot. I often buy two sets of the same shoes in different sizes so i can change out but still look like i have the matching shoe lol.
