Members rallied around the question of managing foot and calf pain in different types of shoes, with many sharing that they too need a slight wedge or heel because truly flat shoes worsen cramping and swelling due to shortened tendons from fibromyalgia. Several members offered practical solutions including stretching exercises from physical therapy, Dr. Scholl's inserts or custom orthotics, compression socks for swelling, magnesium supplements for cramps, and specific shoe brands like Klogs, Crocs, running shoes with arch support, and even cowboy boots for their ideal heel height and comfort. A recurring theme was the need to frequently switch between different pairs of shoes throughout the day, the importance of cushioned insoles and arch support especially for high arches, and using foot massage tools like rollers or tennis balls to relieve pain and tension.

I wear running shoes all the time. My feet swell on the top part of the foot. The bones also feel like they are breaking. I also get cramps in my calves and feet. Dr. said it's just the nature of the beast. Try getting some magnesium in your system, it helps me.

I also have pain in my feet. It is mostly in the bottoms of my feet, even though I have not walked, the pain is still there. I found a shoe that feels like walking on air. The brand is Klogs. They are not "clogs" but a regular shoe. I found them by accident at a Thrift store and now look for them any time I am at a resale shop. The retail price is around $100.00 which is too pricey for me. Good luck to anyone with foot pain!

Welcome to my world doll. I jump pairs of shoes like you will never believe. I can manage a soft shoe but it must have a wedge/ heel. I found that the Crocs are the best for my feet. All the luck doll. Love n hugs
