Members with fibromyalgia responded to concerns about constant calf twitching and body-wide muscle spasms, sharing that these symptoms are common in the community and appear in various locations including eyelids, thighs, arms, back, and feet. Several members offered reassurance that a normal EMG result effectively rules out more serious neurological conditions, explaining that benign twitching shows differently on the test than concerning patterns, and many shared they had undergone similar testing with normal results. A recurring theme was managing symptoms through magnesium supplementation, heat packs, muscle relaxers, staying active, and reducing stress, while members encouraged the poster to trust their test results and focus on finding relief rather than fearing the worst.

Short answer, yes. Went to two neuromuscular neurologists who work at ALS clinics. One in Mayo one at Emory.

yep. one of my first symptoms that made me scared before being diagnosed was my eye lids twitched, all the time, non stop. I also have it happening in my thighs and my arms. I also have the fatigue, numbness, tingling, soreness, tight muscles and jabbing pains like I'm being stabbed.

My doctor recommended Magnesium 500mg daily. I do believe that it has helped. I take it daily for approximately 2 years now. But recently I have been having severe muscle twitching again. Yes, it's when I'm stressed, anxious, overtired. My right ring finger has become paralyzed at times or will jerk uncontrollably. I have noticed however the more active that I am the better I feel. Exercise in any way, movement in any way, helps with all these symptoms. I have fibromyalgia and diabetic neuropathy. God bless you. Prayer has been my best medicine.
