Has anyone here been diagnosed with Lyme Disease?

I thought you might find this interesting since on the subject. This is one of my favorite songs. She says in an interview that her song can help others in any kind of heart ache. We are all going through some sort of nightmare or hardship.
Gentle hugs!

I’ve been tested 4 times now- it’s come back negative- one of my friends who has chronic Lyme is convinced I have it and not fibro. I grew up in Connecticut where Lyme is very prevalent and have been bitten by countless deer ticks. I work outside and also am a trail runner so ive constantly been exposed to them. Apparently Lyme can “hide” in various parts of your body besides the blood stream (synovial fluid of joints, nervous system, etc) so that it is not detectable via blood tests. I’m not a doctor though, haha and I know there is a ton of controversy around whether Lyme can become chronic or not!
No never found a tick nor do I remember having the typical bullseye rash. But I tend to have skin issues anyway. New doctor brought it up because of how my FM symptoms started..one swollen knee and a stiff, sore neck. He is testing me but I understand the test is extremely unreliable here in Canada. I used to hike (when I could walk for more than a few minutes once upon a time) so it’s not beyond the realm of possibility. Seems a lot of stuff on the internet to suggest that some people are misdiagnosed when they may actually have Lyme. Just wondering if anyone else here may have that experience.
Thanks Molly, yes I’ve read lots of stuff that the medical community, or at least a large faction of it, deny chronic Lyme exists. Well if you don’t recall getting a bite, get bitten and infected and don’t get treated then what....it just goes away? That seems rather implausible. Here in Canada there is the same ignorance about it and denial that it’s a wide spread problem despite being in a tick endemic region. The new doc I just saw is on the Lyme task force here in Toronto so he does believe this is an issue and felt testing made sense in the circumstances. But of course the blood test is unreliable.
Nope
