Members discussed their interest in acupressure mats as an affordable alternative to acupuncture for managing chronic pain, with several noting that insurance does not cover regular acupuncture sessions despite its effectiveness. One member shared enthusiastic firsthand experience with an acupressure mat purchased on Amazon for $24.99, reporting that while initially uncomfortable, it significantly helped knee and back pain when used with the included pillow and as a support in a recliner. A recurring theme was the frustration of insurance barriers to beneficial treatments and the hope that more accessible at-home options like acupressure mats might provide similar relief.

Never tried one. Perhaps you could let everyone know what you think of it if you try it out?

I just bought one on amazon. It has a pillow. It was 24.99. I have found that if I use the pillow under my knee that has been sore and hurting. It has helped immensely. It is not comfortable at first but it stops the pain. I use the mat to sit on and lean against. in my recliner. I have a cami on when leaning against it. I had terrible back pain last week. It did help.
