I'm sorry that your daughter is going thru so much. No I have never heard of pots. I was diagnosed with fibro at 21 and have had it for 31 years so I know how hard it is at a young age to have your life suddenly change drastically. I have been disabled since I was 35. Tell her to just take one day at a time. That's all she can do. I do have an irregular heartbeat and have to see my cardiologist very 6 months to keep an eye on it. Fibro has so many symptoms so she just has to deal with one at a time starting with getting checked out for pots. I pray they.get.that under control and she starts getting her life back to her new normal. I know its hard but let her know that we are here to answer any questions she has or just to vent. Hang in there and let us know how she's doing please. Hugs.
I feel for your daughter and her suffering in the interruption of life.
After raising six children, going back to school to get my teaching degree and masters in administration and working part-time; I was stricken with Fibro and my life turned upside down. I taught before, after , during regular day and summer school and I loved teaching and facilitating so much.
One symptom, then two then three and finally had to take early retirement and became disabled.
It has been slow going and lots of testing and trying a cocktail of medications, some help some body won’t tolerate, however, I have found ways to compensate for short burst of household chores an minimal social engagements. I will continue to look for ways to get through this illness and regain a better quality of life again.
Please convey my encouragement to your daughter and I pray she will find ways to keep a social life. It is important not to give up or become a hermit. I went through home bound and it just caused worst depression. Talk to those who suffer as well and have learned managing techniques
Good luck.
