Members overwhelmingly encouraged someone considering a wrist tattoo while navigating ongoing health challenges to go ahead and get it, with many emphasizing that fibromyalgia shouldn't control life choices and that adding meaningful art to the body can be empowering. Several members shared their own tattoo experiences, noting that healing may take longer with chronic illness and that pain levels vary by placement, with ankles being more sensitive, but reassuring that tattoos are generally safe since they're only skin deep. A recurring theme was not waiting for perfect health to live fully, with members urging the poster to embrace the present moment rather than postponing joy indefinitely.

Do it! If you’re able to get out of bed that day and go to that tattoo shop, then do it! I like to think of it as adding beauty and art to my body to take away from the ugliness of fibro. I can’t wait to get my next tattoo which also has a special meaning, which is all the more reason to go for it.

With Fibro, we will always have it so I just get tattoos as and when i feel like them and find a design i like. Dont let Fibro stop you from things you want to do if you can. It can't take over 💜
