Members shared mixed experiences with Cymbalta for fibromyalgia and depression, with some finding it helpful for muscle aches, anxiety, and emotional stability, while others reported challenging side effects like nausea, fatigue, tremors, and hallucinations. Several members emphasized that medication responses are highly individual, encouraging the original poster to try it with their doctor's guidance while staying alert to how their own body responds, noting that some people tolerate it well while others do not. A recurring theme was the importance of trusting the relationship with one's doctor, being patient during the trial period, and remembering that what works or doesn't work for others may not predict personal results.

I am on Cymbalta 40mg. at night. I have no side effects and it seems to help. Everyone is different, so you have to find what works for you. Good luck!

Worst med side effect ever!! I have been on almost every depression med there is and never had side effect like on cymbalta!! I hallucinated and everything obviously stopped it immediately and the doc I saw said that's actually a side effect for some. Not very common. I know many whom have done fine with it and find it helpful. Just not for me!! Scary thought I was losing my mind!!

I wouldn’t be scared. It has a good chance of helping, and you can’t gauge how it will be for you on what other people’s experiences have been because these medications are so different, as different as out experiences of symptoms are. I am hoping it might help you. Wellbutrin was a very good antidepressant for me until I had a head injury and seizure and had to stop it abruptly. None of these antidepressants should be stopped abruptly if it can be helped.

Take in what other’s experiences have been and then see for yourself. Have you had this doc for a while? Good relationship? That is the important part.
