My doctor just prescribed me Duloxetine/Cymbalta for my Fibro and anxiety. After reading through the possible side effects I’m feeling like this isn’t the right option for me. I’m already extremely fatigued all the time, so the possibility of added drowsiness is reason enough for me to not want to take it, as I have two kids ages 7 and almost 2. So I am curious, what was your experience with it? Good or bad? How did you feel? How did your body react? Did it help at all or make things worse?

Hi I was on pregabalin before that made me really ill. I've taken Duloxetine 60mg for 9months and has worked really well still have pains but my fibro fog is much better and I feel more normal lol if that's possible.
The first three days were magnificent for me especially the first day because I didnt feel any pain whatsoever and I was actually able to get a full, restful night of sleep. Unfortunately for me, three days was the most it could do for me. I upped my dosage from the initial 30mg to 60mg and am currently taking 90mg, I honestly don’t feel like it made any difference for me. But everyone’s chemistry and fibro is different so I suggest giving it a chance, there are other alternatives at least.
Just the weight problem. I am guessing it slows your metabolism down.
It helped my daughter in law immensely. Everyone is different. I feel like a guinea pig at times. Neurontin helps me, but the downside is you need constant increases. I hope you find something that helps
I was on it for 3 years. It helped with depression but not with the pain. It made me so sick, unbelievably nauseous and I tapered off. It took very long time to get of. I would not take it again.
