Before the onset of Fibromyalgia, which apparently was triggered by a shoulder operation, my wife had other physical problems including herniated discs,I.B.S. and arthritic knees. We have just changed doctors who seems to know quite a bit about Fibro and has changed her medication but seems to think that pain killers/treatment for the pre-existing problems would be useless.
Anyone got any thoughts?
Incidentally it is the shoulder which is by far the worst pain site for her....
Thanks in advance

I take oxycodone when I first start taking it it took the pain away but I've been taking it for a while it work for the first three then the pain is back I have a wonderful pain Doctor she would do whatever she can to give me some relief and I really appreciate her for that
I am on oxycodone which my doctor says should not help fibro but for some reason it works for me! Thank god he will give me whatever gives me some relief! I don’t know what I’d do without them, I remember that pain all too well. However there are still those odd days where the pain is off the charts but they are very rare now! I say whatever works for each individual, take it!!!
I got no help from painkillers for fibromyalgia. They did help my shoulder and neck pain. The only thing that helps my fibro pain is medical marijuana.
Thanks everso for all that
