Hello ! Are there any folks out there that experience pain in one area continuously with virtually no break from it? My left arm in general is my biggest pain point these days. Flares can create pain on both left and right but the left arm and hand are always worse. I have literally 3 points of pain distribution along my left arm (shoulder/elbow/thumb). My shoulder constantly pops when I rotate it. Not like a windmill rotation. Literally just holding my arm our and flipping my hand from side to… read more

@A MyFibroTeam Member I was diagnosed this year after 4 months of trying to figure out what was wrong with me. I went to the Mayo Clinic. I was diagnosed with Fibro and CSS (central sensitivity syndrome). I have a lot of weird nerve issues which I cant figure out if that is the fibro or the CSS. I don't have a ton of muscular pain but I have a lot of bone curdling nerve pain (especially in my left arm). Some days I have it in other places but my left arm is by far the worst place for me....left side in general. I sometimes cannot believe this is Fibro. I didn't realize it could be so devastating to a person. There are days where I feel like just a shell of who I once was
@A MyFibroTeam Member I am so sorry you are going through this as well. Fibro is such an oddly strange beast. All the doctors think I am a nut job but I am not making this up. I also have weird sensations in my body (mainly felt in my hands and feet) but it literally feels like a tiny little current of electricity running through me (like a humming of my bones....it is unnerving). Some days my hand pain is so bad, I put large ice packs on them. That's all that seems to work for me. Big hugs to you. Adding you to my team.
Like you, most of my pain seems to feel nerve related and, although I have pain in most places, my head, neck, down my arms, my hands and through to my fingertips seem to be the worst. I have flare-ups in other areas (feet, stomach, nose/face, back, top of my chest) as well, but not continual like my arms and hands. I also feel worn out most of the time, which is a huge thing for me. I used to love being outside and would spend all day gardening or hiking etc, but I hardly ever do that any more. Mainly I wander around my garden and get upset that I'm too worn out to actually do more than look at it. I get so frustrated because I know I'm physically fit and healthy, but I feel so sore and tired. I still can't get my head around that.....….
I have had fibro for roughly 12 years. I have pain in my back, main in my sacroiliac joint. I have problems with my knees and like you, my left knee pops but the back of the knee locks. I have problems with my hands too.
I have had x rays on my knees and seen a Rheumatologist but they said they couldn't find anything.
I get very frustrated because I know that something is wrong but they say they can't find anything.
I am seeing a Dr that knows something about fibro, so I am hoping I will get some answers.
Will let you all know.
Take care to you all
Wow I feel the same way every day.
