Members shared their experiences with managing fibromyalgia pain, with the overwhelming consensus being that completely pain-free days are rare or nonexistent, though medication helps make the pain more bearable and manageable for daily life. Several members described their pain management strategies, including methadone, oxycodone, tramadol, cannabis oil, and topical gels, with many noting the '24-hour rule' where overdoing activities today means paying for it with increased pain tomorrow. A recurring theme was learning to pace themselves, accept limitations without guilt, and find gratitude in 'good days' where pain levels drop from an 8 or 9 to a more tolerable 2 or 3, even if true freedom from pain remains elusive.

Yes , I make sure i always have something in my system. I ask the doctor and she said it's okay to take a little more in a hour if i need to. Like 1/4 or 1/2 more. I use pain meds and cannabis oil and that helps 99% pain-free.

Can't remember a day where I was pain free but with pain medication I am able to push through the pain and still get done what needs to be taken care of. After a while you become so good at hiding it, you somewhat learn to tuck the pain away until you can find a quiet time in the shower to cry to yourself. I wish you as many pain free days as possible.

I wish I had a pain free day. Sometimes the pain isn’t all that bad so I go do what I like most work in my garden but then bammm my body is saying hey I don’t like that. Plus I have osteoarthritis so that is screaming at me as well. So yes I do pray everyday to be pain free but I know that won’t be so I tell myself that I will try not to let this get in my way of life.

I get days when pain is not as noticeable because it’s manageable with medication taken regularly- sometimes it’s a concern - but a grateful relief. Usually find that it’s when I stop what I’m doing my body says - that’s your limit - then I feel it.
Not sure if everyone feels the same on a “good day”.
