I've recently started my Lyrica treatment a few days ago and many of my friends, family, including my 8 year old have noticed I've been completely out of it. I'm having really bad memory loss, forgetfulness, and confusion.
Memory loss is a lesser known side effect (from what I've read). They mentioned it would go away in a week or two.
Had anyone else had these issues when starting Lyrica?

Members shared their experiences starting Lyrica for fibromyalgia and nerve pain, with nearly all describing troubling side effects including severe memory loss, confusion, blurred vision, mood changes, and feeling loopy or zombie-like within just days of starting the medication. Several members strongly advised stopping the medication immediately and consulting a doctor, suggesting alternatives like gabapentin for nerve pain or CBD, while others recommended asking for a lower starting dose to allow the body to adjust more gradually. A recurring theme was the tension between hoping symptoms would improve after a week or two versus the concern that such severe cognitive effects were not worth enduring, especially for those caring for family members or managing other health conditions.

Well I'm actually doing better now. I'm not as spaced out and confused. Pain is mild but better. I tend to focus really hard on one thing and can't multitask, but I've always done that.

I tried it and after a couple days I was having racing thoughts and just left odd. Doctor said stop immediately so I did. Didn’t work for me. I use a lotion to relax muscles. Take care

It's a horrible drug with many side effects. If you are using it for nerve pain, try gabapentin instead. If it's for mood, try something that just treats that rather than something trying to cover both mood and pain...

I wish it worked for me but I was more depressed on it and felt like a zombie.
