Its not a sore throat, rather a feeling of fullness when you swallow. A discomfort like having a frog in your throat... so odd
I get throat pain and the lump in my throat when swallowing. My throat pretty much stays dry though no matter how much water I drink and I drink a lot of water! I was recently diagnosed with silent reflux which has effected my voice box and throat so I believe my symptoms are coming from this as they fit exactly. It is difficult to know if you have silent reflux because most people do not get heartburn. The ENT put a scope down my nose and throat and saw the scarring at my voice box. I changed my diet some more (no more Coke Zero for me ๐) and my primary prescribed a 14 day round of nexium and the throat pain is gone but I still get the lump when swallowing and the dryness.
Yes, I get that a lot. Sometimes it feels like Iโm being strangled slightly and makes it trickier to swallow
Yes it is! Mine is usually accompanied by nausea! A little peppermint oil rubbed on my tummy works great! ๐
yes
I get a feeling like a sticky lump of mucus is stuck in one side of my throat. Nothing shifts it and its irritating, i try drinking cold and hot drinks, stimulating my throat eating menthol sweets nose sprays etc nothing works. My throat is sore at the same time. It is really really annoying.
