I struggle getting out of bed in the morning (from lack of sleep) and was wondering how others manage.
I had severe insomnia for about 3 months my doctor prescribed me with 3 different sleeping medicines and nothing worked, they gave me antidepressants and nothing. Luckly my father is an MD in my country and when I traveled he prescribed me a medicine that makes me sleep through the night. Now I am reducing the dose little by little because I don’t like to be in pills. Also they sell the Yogi tea that helps you sleep. I bought it plus vitamin b12 it work for me too. You can ask your doctor for sleeping pills if the natural metod doesn’t work for you. I tried everything but lack of sleep is the worst thing for human functioning.
I had a sleep study done and the results were that I did not get the restorative stage of sleep. The Doctor could not connect it to anything at the time, but is a common issue with Fibromyalgia.
My doc send me to sleep therapie. Accoring to her, people with fibromyalgia don’t get the deep sleep you need to repair your body
Try passion flower tea before bed.. it really helps relax into sleep. Also have a look at your diet, and maybe try some of those relaxation apps. Also look up binaural beat therapy.
ok, first of all I am not a doctor or anything I just want to help others as others have helped me... one of the main problems having Fibro is sleep, we are not capable to slip into the deep sleep that your body needs to heel itself. So when you wake up, even if that’s 12 hrs, your body is not rested.
What I do even just to get to sleep is listen to binaural beats on YouTube. Omg they are amazing. Be sure to use a good pair of headphones on. Amazon has really good ones with Bluetooth and they look like regular sweatbands, that way you don’t have to lay there like a stiff plank.
