I have family in Upstate NY in Little Falls and Herkimer. I know it’s cold up there. I feel for you. When I visit my family, I can barely move! Anyway, if you’re thinking about filing for SS disability, try to use the family leave act, then temporary disability then SS disability. SS Disability takes a while to get approved so filed early before those other two run out. First time applications are usually denied. Appeal in person at the local SS office in person.

You have to really shore up resources. Notorized letters from
Friends, spouses, children, parents, employers, and doctors. I would like to apply at least for part-time or temporary disability. But, you must have compassionate doctors and a team willing to write those letters. Chances are - you will getvdenied the first & possibly second time. Best to have a lawyer on the case. Good luck!
