I was thinking about starting to take supplements to help with my fibro pain. My rheumotologist today mentioned tumeric and fish oil. If you are taking supplements, which ones are you taking and what are you taking it for?

Members shared diverse supplement regimens for fibromyalgia pain, with turmeric, fish oil, and magnesium emerging as the most commonly recommended options, though several cautioned that both turmeric and fish oil can thin the blood and should be used carefully. Many community members described taking additional supplements including vitamin D3 for low levels, CoQ10 and L-carnitine for cellular energy, B vitamins for overall support, and CBD oil from hemp for pain relief, with magnesium being particularly praised for helping muscle and joint pain. A recurring theme was the importance of starting cautiously, asking doctors about proper dosages, and paying attention to how your body responds to any new supplement.

My neurologist told me to take L-carnatine, Riboflavin, Coq10 (each 100mg 4 times a day). They help the cellular function in terms of energy.
He also recommended turmeric for inflammation.
I take a 50mg B complex,
Dodecin and CBD oil from hemp for the pain,
Lots of magnesium for the muscle and joint pains (magnesium does so much more than that though!!)
My best recommendations are the last 2. They make a considerable difference!
Gentle hugs!

Smart doctor about the turmeric. It’s in mustard. A tsp before bed works wonders!

Omega 3 fish oils are good for settling immune response. Turmeric is good, but be careful of using too much as I used the ground version, and took too much....ended up thinning my blood much, became faint and dizzy and couldn't stop bleeding when I gave my self a small cut chopping veggies! Fish oils also thin the blood so please be aware.
