I've been exercising by raking outside in the mornings till lunchtime and quit for the day. I workout anyway I can daily to drop my body fat, indoors and outdoors.

By the time I get ready for bed, my right hip is hurting enough that I need to use a heating pad before I can go to bed. The pain level is an 8 but I'll wake up during the night with extreme pain shooting from my hip going into my thigh.

Does anyone have suggestions for losing this pain so I can sleep through the night again? I'm… read more

Members rallied around someone experiencing severe nighttime hip pain that radiates down the thigh, with many recognizing similar symptoms from their own experiences with conditions like bursitis, osteoarthritis, and sciatica. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them, including Salonpas pain relief patches, heated blankets, stretching exercises (like pulling the knee across toward the opposite shoulder), Epsom salt baths, and memory foam mattresses, while strongly encouraging a visit to a doctor or rheumatologist to identify the root cause. A recurring theme was the frustration of wanting to stay active and fulfill responsibilities while being limited by unpredictable pain, met with compassionate reminders to prioritize self-care and rest when the body demands it.

Lay on back in bed, draw your knee up to your chest and pull it across towards the opposite shoulder and hold for a stretch and repeat several times in morning and at night. Helps hip as well as if pulled groin and psyatica

Ease up on your exercise a bit until you have resolved the hip pain. I have found Salonpas pads helpful in reducing pain, because if you buy the box with the extra large pads, you can cut them with a scissors and put half onto each hip. They stick to the skin, last 8 hours, and you can apply more if needed. I buy mine at the grocery. You should see a doctor to get to the root of the problem. Good luck. ❤

Night pain can be horrendous. I have found a memory foam mattress helped my pain levels. Also a heated over blanket sooths some of the pain away.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, I googled information about spondylitis last night but it says I'm not having those symptoms. I checked more on sciatic nerve problems and found that to be a major problem for me.

Ty for the suggestion though.

I had to read more about the sciatic nerve problems cuz the pain doesn't want to go away. It shoots from my hip to my outer thigh into my calf now.

Went for groceries last night and while walking around the store, my thigh was hurting even more by standing in one place.

I have a lot of hip pain. I usually use heating pad or epsom salt bath.
Would duggest you get tested by a Rheumatologist for Spondylitis which can cause a lot of pain in hips.
