Members shared their experiences with tooth discoloration and dental problems after being diagnosed with fibromyalgia, with many attributing the changes to medications, dry mouth, and the condition itself affecting calcium retention in bones and teeth. Several members offered practical strategies including using Biotene spray or lozenges for dry mouth, not rinsing after brushing to let toothpaste protect enamel, chewing gum to stimulate saliva, using Natural Dentist rinse for bleeding gums, and seeing a dental hygienist twice yearly to manage inflammation. A recurring theme was the frustration of losing once-white teeth to thinning enamel, brittleness, loosening, and discoloration despite using whitening products, with many members expressing solidarity over yet another difficult aspect of living with fibromyalgia.

Hi I’ve had to start using corsydol because of bleeding gums and the corsydol definitely discolours teeth but up until then I hadn’t had any discolouration xXx

@A MyFibroTeam Member, I used to get complemented on my white teeth, but no more. My teeth are not pure white bright anymore. I think all the meds have discolored my beautiful teeth and the enamel is thinner! Bummer!

Hi Amcash
I told Dentist last year that my mouth was dry. she was advise me when brush my teeth not to rinse my mouth so the rest of the tooth paste was protecting the teeth also told me to chew chewing gum.

Before turning yellow, mine turned almost clear from lack of enamel left on them, n very thin, then started getting discolored. Medications n dry mouth play a part in it.
