My pain management put me on it and waiting to pick it up. I've read its helped but haven't talked to anyone about it.

I found this article and @ LDN sounds very promising...as long as you are NOT taking narcotics or pain meds...if you are taking any narcotics or pain meds this medicine could cause a serious withdrawal effect.

There were many other articles on Low Dose Naltrexone. They all sounded promising for Fibro, autoimmune diseases, even cancer...but ONLY very low doses 1.5 -4.5...They give alcoholics & drug addicts 50 mgs of Naltrexone a day under supervision, which is a very high dose. But, the low doses seem quite helpful with so many health conditions, even the common cold...helps build the immune system and helps to increase endorphins, etc...

@A MyFibroTeam Member I hope this works good for you! Keep us posted. 💜💜

I am on 5mg of low dose naltrexone. Your doctor will start you on 1 mg then increase the dose if you're doing alright. It definitely helps my pain. The only side effect is you lose a little weight which isnt a bad thing lol. I also take CBD hemp oil without the THC. This helps me too. It's legal in all 50 states. I still have pain everyday but it's tolerable.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I called my pain management yesterday because I noticed slight improvement and then wham out if no where my pain has doubled along with some new ones. I found one article although the research was on MS but it explained what was going on. She started me at 3mg which it said they found in MS patients temporarily increased there pain especially muscle spasms, but when backed it down and it decreased. So she called in for 1mg for a wk then 2mg back up to my 3mg and if need can go up to the 4.5mg. Just waiting for them to compound it. She wanted me to continue the 3mg until it came but I got so bad yesterday I skipped last nights dose. I couldn't take it. Even though I saw the improvement if I hadn't found that article I probably would have called it quits. Its the only reason I'm sticking to it, because I had noticed a change, and its early, which I'm keeping my fingers crossed this helps. I hope its not a false hope and I see the improvement again. Glad its working for you.

Thanks, I wasn't sure with the first post, thought that's what you meant. But I'm the kind of person my mind can read something and run wild no matter how hard I try shutting it off especially with this. Thank you

Ldn blocks pain meds. Plus not everyone will react the same. For example; some people can drink alcohol in moderation just fine while on LDN, then there are those who violently vomit if they touch alcohol in any amount. The way I see it; better safe then sorry.
